UI/UX Design
Training Course
Master Figma, design systems, and user research. Graduate with a complete product design case study that stands out in job applications and freelance pitches.
Graduate with a Complete Case Study
You’ll design a full product, from user research and wireframes through to a polished, interactive prototype with a documented design system.
User Research Report
User interviews, empathy maps, and a persona set grounded in real data, not assumptions. The foundation every strong design case study starts with.
Interactive Prototype
A fully clickable Figma prototype for a mobile app or web product. Complete with micro-interactions, transitions, and a component library.
Design System
Colour palette, typography, spacing scale, and a full component set, documented and ready to hand off to any developer or present to any client.
What You’ll Learn Week by Week
Week 1: Design Thinking & UX Foundations
The double diamond process, design thinking methods, and why most products fail at user research. Figma basics and your first wireframes by the end of session 2.
Week 2: User Research & Personas
Structuring user interviews, running usability tests, and analysing qualitative data. Build a 3-persona set and empathy map for your capstone project brief.
Week 3: Information Architecture & Wireframing
Sitemaps, user flows, card sorting, and low-fidelity wireframes. How to present wireframes to clients and stakeholders without them asking “why is it grey?”
Week 4: Visual Design & Design Systems
Colour theory, typography hierarchy, spacing systems, and visual hierarchy. Build a full design system in Figma including auto-layout components, variants, and tokens.
Week 5: Prototyping & Usability Testing
Interactive Figma prototypes with transitions and micro-interactions. Running a live usability test, capturing findings, and iterating your design based on real feedback.
Week 6: Portfolio, Handoff & Career Prep
Writing your case study for Behance, a portfolio site, or job applications. Developer handoff with Figma Inspect. Pricing freelance design work. Graduate showcase and critique.
No Design Experience Needed
Career Changers
UX/UI design is one of the fastest-growing roles in tech. No coding required, starting salaries of $65–$90K, and remote-friendly. This course gives you the portfolio to break in.
Developers
You can code anything, but you know design is the gap in your skillset. This course gives you the vocabulary and process to produce work that looks as good as it functions.
Product Managers
You want to communicate design intent confidently, write better briefs, and stop being dependent on designers to move early ideas forward.
Entrepreneurs & Founders
You’re building a product and can’t afford to hire a designer yet. This course gives you the skills to design your own MVP and the language to brief a designer when you’re ready.
Common Questions
Do I need any design software before the course starts?
Just Figma, it’s free. We provide a setup guide before Week 1 and spend the first session making sure everyone is comfortable with the interface before we start designing.
Do I need artistic talent to be a UI/UX designer?
No. UI/UX design is primarily about solving problems and understanding users. The visual side follows from applying consistent principles, not from being able to draw. Many of our best students had no creative background at all.
Will this course help me get a UX job?
The course is built specifically around the hiring requirements of US tech companies and agencies. Week 6 is dedicated to portfolio presentation, interview preparation, and positioning your case study for the roles you want.
How much can I charge as a freelance UI/UX designer?
Freelance UI/UX rates in the US typically range from $65–$150/hr depending on specialisation. Most of our freelance graduates close their first paid project within 60 days of graduating.
