Cybersecurity
Training Course
From fundamentals to hands-on penetration testing. Learn to identify vulnerabilities, protect systems, and document findings like a professional security analyst.
You’ll Do Real Security Work
This isn’t a theory course. Every week you run actual tools against real lab environments built to match the systems you’ll encounter on the job.
Penetration Testing
Run reconnaissance, exploitation, and post-exploitation on lab environments. Use industry tools: Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and custom scripts.
Vulnerability Assessment
Identify, prioritise, and document vulnerabilities using CVSS scoring. Produce professional audit reports you can submit to clients on day one.
Incident Response
Detect, contain, and recover from simulated attacks. Build an incident response playbook you can hand to any client in the field.
What You’ll Learn Week by Week
Week 1: Security Foundations
CIA Triad, threat modelling, attack surfaces, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework. Setting up your Kali Linux environment. How real-world breaches happen, and how they’re stopped.
Week 2: Networking & Protocols
TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, and common attack vectors at the network layer. Wireshark packet analysis, ARP poisoning, and man-in-the-middle fundamentals.
Week 3: Reconnaissance & OSINT
Passive and active information gathering. Shodan, theHarvester, Maltego, and social engineering reconnaissance. Building a complete target profile before touching a system.
Week 4: Vulnerability Scanning & Analysis
Nmap, Nessus, and OpenVAS deep dives. CVSS scoring, false positive triage, and producing professional vulnerability reports clients can actually act on.
Week 5: Exploitation Techniques
Metasploit Framework, manual exploitation, SQL injection, XSS, and privilege escalation. Hands-on lab environments, no real targets, ever.
Week 6: Web Application Security
OWASP Top 10 with Burp Suite. Testing authentication, session management, input validation, and API security. Build: full web app pen test report.
Week 7: Defensive Security & Compliance
Firewall configuration, SIEM setup, log analysis, and security hardening checklists. SOC 2, NIST, and HIPAA compliance fundamentals for client-facing work.
Week 8: Capstone & Career Prep
Full penetration test of a lab environment with a written report. Interview preparation for security analyst roles. Pricing security audits as a freelancer. Graduate showcase.
The Professional Security Toolkit
Kali Linux
The industry-standard penetration testing OS. You’ll run Kali in a VM throughout the course and graduate comfortable working in a Linux terminal.
Metasploit Framework
The world’s most widely used exploitation framework. Learn to use it ethically, and how to defend against it.
Burp Suite
Intercept, analyse, and manipulate web traffic. Used in every serious web application security assessment.
Nmap & Nessus
Port scanning, service detection, and vulnerability identification across networks and individual hosts.
Wireshark
Deep packet inspection for network traffic analysis. Essential for understanding what’s actually happening on a network.
OSINT Tools
Shodan, Maltego, theHarvester, and SpiderFoot for intelligence gathering, the first phase of every real engagement.
Common Questions
Is this course legal? Are we hacking real systems?
Absolutely legal. All practical exercises are conducted on isolated lab environments we control. We cover the legal and ethical framework in Week 1 and maintain strict responsible disclosure standards throughout.
Do I need a technical background?
Basic computer literacy is enough to start. We build up from fundamentals in Week 1. Students with a networking or IT background will move faster, but it’s not a requirement.
Does this prepare me for certifications?
Yes. The curriculum is aligned with CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), and eJPT (eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester). Many graduates pursue these certifications immediately after the course.
What equipment do I need?
A laptop with at least 8GB RAM and 50GB free storage. We provide VM images and all software. Most students use a MacBook, Windows laptop, or any modern Linux machine.
